Ways to Build Website Traffic Through Twitter

by BlondieWrites on December 20, 2009

You’ve probably been hearing about Twitter a lot lately. It has become the latest rage for keeping up to date on absolutely everything. While Twitter can be great for contacting friends or finding out about the latest gossip, it’s also an easy and effective way to build your business.

Twitter is a social networking site, much like Facebook or Myspace. Twitter allows you to tweet from your computer, phone, or other mobile device. Posts must be short. This allows you to keep your followers updated on everything that’s going on with you. Followers can be friends, relatives, or the most important for you, current and potential customers.

To promote your business effectively with Twitter, you must have followers. There’s really no point in tweeting if no one is reading it. Here are a few quick tips to gain followers:

Follow people and they’ll often reciprocate. Often it’s pretty easy to find someone in your field who you can follow. They may have a popular website, blog or newsletter and will post their Twitter ID or you can search for them. Don’t stop there. Twitter allows you to not only find out what’s going on with them, but lets you see who they’re following and lets you become a follower as well. The beauty in this is that once someone sees that you’re following them, they’ll often follow you back. Just be sure not to follow too many people at first. Keep it close to the number of people that are following you.

Often people will do the same thing you did. They’ll find people they like and know of and see who they’re following. So simply by getting a few people to follow you, you’ll often build up more Twitter followers without doing anything. And the more Twitter followers you have, the more Twitter readers will see your tweets, and the more people who see those tweets might come to your site.

If you want word about you to spread on Twitter, you need to make your tweets count. Sure, you want to link to your website when you have updates, but you also want to give them a reason for listening to you. Has someone published an awesome new product? Posted a helpful blog post? Is there a big sale going on? Pass this info on. If people know you’ve got good info to pass on, they’ll become your follower, and then hopefully your customer. Remember to choose wisely. If you’re constantly tweeting, people might stop following you.

Remind your current contacts that you’re on Twitter. Whether it’s a customer you do business with or someone you meet at a business seminar, pass on the fact that you’re on Twitter. When you tell them, you can also ask for their contact and become a follower yourself. This will remind them who you are and help them remember to follow you.

You might also want to take advantage of different software that works with Twitter. There are programs that automatically post tweets from your blogs, ones to keep you updated on the tweets of others, and countless others.

If used properly, Twitter can be a great way to build website traffic, gain new business clients, and keep your relationship going with current contacts.

Twitter – a Great Traffic Generator

by BlondieWrites on December 20, 2009

Many people already know that Twitter is a great way to keep up to date on everything that’s going on in the world around you. Whether it’s finding out about the latest product releases or just knowing what your friends are up to, Twitter is a quick, easy and popular way to keep an eye on the pulse of the modern world. But it’s also a great way to get traffic to your website. More and more people are expanding their numbers using Twitter and so can you - you just have to know how to do it.

If you’ve never used Twitter, it’s pretty simple. It takes about a minute to create an account, then you can type in short messages (less than 140 characters) and they’re sent to everyone who has chosen to be one of your “followers”. You can also follow people you’re interested in and get updated whenever they make a post.

These are a few reasons Twitter is a great tool for getting traffic.

*It’s easy. Pretty much anyone who can use a computer can use it. And we all know that the less work people have to do to use something, the more likely they’re going to be to use it.

*It’s accessible. People can use Twitter from their computer, phone, or pda. That means they’re always checking it and always getting updates. It becomes a part of their life. And if they follow you, that makes you a part of their life too.

*It’s Popular. Millions of people are already using Twitter, and thousands of new users join each day. So you can transfer networks over from other sites, or your email list, and watch your followers grow from there.

The first step to increasing your traffic is to simply gain followers on. If you’re tweeting and no one is listening, it’s not really going to do you or your website any good.

The easiest way is to bring along your network from other sources, like your business contacts, email list, message boards, or even other social networks. If you don’t have anyone to add, or you want to expand, simply start following others in your field. Many will follow you in return, and if you use your tweets properly, the word will get out.

Once you have followers, there are many strategic ways to use your tweets wisely. Don’t just talk about anything:

*Keeping up relationships. Whether it be clients, potential clients, or business contacts, Twitter can help you update your followers, and following them can help keep you updated. This makes them feel more connected with you and gives you a better relationship. You can even take it a step further and follow-up on their tweets through other communication lines. And remember, happy customers means repeat customers and referrals.

*Product release. If you have a decent number of followers, Twitter is a great way to get the word out about a new product, website, or service offer. You can also use it to build excitement before a new release.

*Website changes. If something changes about your site, even something small like a new article, spread the word. This gets them to come back to your site, even if they’ve already been there.

*Become a resource. If there are things going on that interest you and that might interest your followers, spread the word. They’ll be thankful that you shared valuable info with them and be more likely to pass on your name and pay attention to future tweets.

Are You Still Struggling to Keep Your Blogs Updated? Blog Content Club is the Answer

Let’s cut to the chase.

If you have blogs, you know how difficult it can be to keep coming up with fresh content on a daily basis.

The idea of a blog is to post on it regularly. When you have trouble knowing what to post and so you just don’t post, readers stop coming. When readers stop coming, you stop making money from product sales and affiliate sales. In short, when you don’t update your blog on a regular basis, you lose your readers (who also happen to be the ones making you money).

That’s where Blog Content Club can help.

Members of Blog Content Club will get 250 ready to go articles every month that they are members. You get 25 articles in 10 niches. Six Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back to Your Website

by BlondieWrites on October 19, 2009

To maintain a successful business website, you have to keep your visitors coming back. Unless you offer them something to come back to, then chances are they will not. You will need content on your website that not only interests them, but also changes regularly.

1) Articles- Articles give your visitor something to read. Undoubtedly, sometime in the future, you customer will have a question, or want more information about the product or service that they received from your business. If the articles pertain to your business and the products and services that you offer, then they will be able to access the information.

You do not necessary have to write these articles yourself. Blog Content Club gives members 250 Ready To Post Blog Articles in 10 Niches Every Month. Check it out at http://www.blogcontentclub.com

You can post information about your products directly from the package, or makers website.

There are several article directories online that provide good, quality content at no cost to you. It is as simple as visiting the directories, searching for articles that suit your business, and then copying them into your website. You are only required to provide a link back to the original authors website.

2) Contests- Who does not want to win something? By offering contests (especially if they change frequently) gives your visitors something to come back for. When the visitor signs up for the contest you may also want to include a link to your newsletter.

The key is to change the contest frequently, whether it be weekly, monthly, or semi-annually. Just remember, the more you change your contest the more times your visitors will come back to your site.

3) Coupons and Discounts- You may want to provide coupons or discounts for your previous clients to entice them to return to your website.

You can use the coupons a number of ways. A few ideas are:

-A buy one get one free.
-A specific percent discount (such as 10%)
-Free or discounted shipping

Discounts are easy to administer, provided you have a shopping cart. The typical way discounts are given is by code. A code word such as “springtime” allows customers with the code word to receive a discount.

Alternately, you may want to provide a printable coupon on your, and accept it at your physical location.
4) Forums- Forums provide something that everyone craves: conversation. If a forum is provided on your site, the visitor will have a reason to visit your website frequently, whether it be to ask a question when help is needed or to keep up on a conversation.

You can host your forum from your site, or choose to use a third party forum, whatever your prefer. Both have their pros and cons, it just comes down to what is best for your business.

5) Blog- Believe It or not, people are interested in what you have to say! A blog will not only allow you to update your clients on your business and life, but it also gives you a great opportunity to add those much needed keywords to your website.

6) Newsletter- A newsletter is one of the best ways to keep your visitors coming back time and time again.

You will want to include part of a unique article or tip in your newsletter, and then a link to the rest. This will force your viewers to visit your site to get the remainder of the story.

Once again you do not have to write all the content yourself. Using professional blog content will cut the time it takes to put a newsletter together in half. Blog Content Club gives members 250 Ready To Post Blog Articles in 10 Niches Every Month. Check it out at http://www.blogcontentclub.com

10 Effective Ways to Build Your Mailing List

by BlondieWrites on October 13, 2009

If you have been in this business for any length of time, you have probably heard the saying, “The Money is in the List”. Well, in a big way that is true. Building a mailing list and sending out regular newsletters, updates, etc. is a very powerful way of increasing your customer base.

There are numerous things you can do to build your mailing list and most of them are free!

1. Be sure to put a subscription form/box on every page of your website. If you want people to sign up for your ezine/newsletter, you need to make it as easy as possible for them, even if it is as simple as a link saying Subscribe Here.

2. Subscribe Address in your Sigtag – Use your subscribe address in your sigtag when you post to message boards, send emails to email discussion lists and anytime you send out an email. This is a very simple, yet effective way to get people to subscribe to your mailing list. For example:

Free ebook to help you build your business. subscribe @ subscribehere.com

3. Offer a Free – Give people some incentive to give their email address for your mailing list. Offer them a free ebook or free software. If possible, write the ebook yourself to get more exposure for yourself and your business. Let people know they are free to use your ebook as a sign-up bonus as well.

4. Hover Ads – Hover ads, float in ads, pop-up ads, exit ads, can all be very effective in capturing people’s email addresses. Use the ad to offer your freebie and add your subscription address so it is very easy for people to sign up. When I put one of these ads on my site, I added hundreds of subscribers in just
a few weeks. You can get free code for this ad at:
tamingthebeast.net/generators/popup-hover-ad.htm

5. Contests – Hold contests on your site to draw more people in to sign up for your mailing list. People don’t mind signing up when they have a chance to win something for free. Keep in mind that these will not all be solid subscribers. Some will be contest junkies and freebie seekers!

6. Ad Swaps – This an old but effective way to build your mailing list. Search for other quality ezines/newsletters that compliment yours and then contact the publisher. Ask them if they would like to get free exposure for their ezine. Offer to put their ad in your newsletter, if they do the same for you. This can get you lots of free traffic and sign-ups.

7. Ezine Directories – There are numerous ezine directories on the net and most of them are free. Add your ezine and let publishers know that you are willing to do ad swaps. You can also look for ezines to contact for ad swaps.

8. Group Subscription Ads – This is where you sign up for a free program and get your ezine posted numerous websites along with other ezines. What you have to do in return is add the code for the box to your site as well. You can see an example here: seymourproducts.com down at the bottom of the page.

9. Article Marketing – Article marketing for me has been the most powerful method of building my mailing list and my customer base. Take some time to write an informative, helpful article, submit it to directories and website/ezine owners and you are guaranteed to get more subscribers!

10. Exchange Recommendations with Other Publishers – This is similar to an ad swap but you would contact other publishers and discuss recommending each other’s ezine on your welcome/thank you page or email. This is the web page or email your subscribers see after signing up for your ezine. Doing this with several ezine publishers could greatly increase the rate in which you build your
mailing list/subscriber base.

If you consistently use some or all of these ideas, you will definitely build a large mailing list. If you use this list to send a quality ezine they will definitely respond to you and your business!
